"...aware of when Lillian Gish cried to Kevin Brownlow, when he said he was organizing a showing of Broken Blossoms (sometime in the 80s?): "the gongs! don't forget the gongs!!".... unfortunately, the gongs were misled and missed in that showing, alas... but not in this soundtrack!"
