There are folk influences in the shape of Woody Guthrie and Leadbelly, country legends such as Hank Williams and Roy Acuff, old-timey pioneers including Charlie Poole and Clarence Ashley, blues giants like Charley Patton and Blind Lemon Jefferson, rock ‘n’ rollers Elvis Presley and Little Richard and bluegrass luminaries such as Bill Monroe and the Stanley Brothers.
