It all book-ended up where it all began back in the USA.

Lorde's first show show this year in America took place on March 3 at Austin Music Hall. Only this time on a much bigger stage now, Austin would host her last USA 2014 show.

Plus it would be her last show in the States for long while she said. She even asked the large crowd to give a big hand to her entire crew, as it would be the last time they would work together.

Note: there is a recurring "Shazam now for artist access" tag (link?) across the top-left. All tags are annoying, but this one even moreso for its location on the screen. Thankfully it only comes in once toward the start of each song and doesn't stick around too long.


Beyond that, this is one marvelous presentation. The sound is sharp and clean. As for the video, there are lots of different, captivating views of the show. The camerawork and editing is expert and intense.


Lorde changes costume (once) mid-show for the first time that I have ever seen, from basic black to basic white. She has changed up the light show and the audio mix. There is more flashing lights and deeper air. There is more vivid room for her to dance and sing and go only for it.


At times her movements are somewhat more ballet-like, while her voice stretches notes longer. She is ever more in while going further out of control.


Since this past spring and summer, Lorde has switched up the setlist somewhat, to often dramatic result. The pace is crisp, only slowing down for the even longer worded intro to Ribs. On the plus side, she brought her Bravado back in, moved Biting Down down for more power lower in the batting order, and added the shining new Yellow Flicker Beat, from the upcoming epic film, Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1.


As her music gets cinematic, her show becomes more spectacular.


She truly is Lorde of the ring.
