Filipinki is a Polish female vocal ensemble created in 1959 at the Szczecin College of Commerce in honor of the 15th anniversary of the educational institution. The group's debut took place in 1960 at the song contest "Looking for Young Talents"; the name stuck after a visit to the editorial office of the fortnightly "Filipinka". In 1962, the group performed in the radio contest "Microphone for Everyone", thanks to which they gained great popularity. The ensemble's popularity peaked in 1963-1965. They performed in many European countries, as well as in the USA and Canada
