Book 1 - Tower of Jack:
He’s arrogant. A certified pain in the butt. Maybe just crazy enough to survive. Jack Atlas, self-proclaimed ‘World’s Best Assassin’, had a simple plan: retire in style and marry the girl of his dreams. Then he gets placed in The Towerâa divine deathtrap where gods pit their creations against each other for the ultimate prize: eternal paradise for you and your friends. The catch? If you lose, well, let’s just say your chances of finding a decent bar in oblivion are slim. Jack, whoâs never met a hornetâs nest he didnât want to kick, soon finds himself on the wrong side of The Black Centipede, a notorious assassin cult with a charming recruitment policy: join or theyâll murder everyone he loves. Instead of sipping Mai Taiâs on some beach he canât pronounce; itâs slurping down health potions because he got stabbed by a goblin with a particular fondness for stabbing him in the rear. Heroic quests? Conquer The Tower, appease his assassin overlords, reunite with his dream girl? Nope. Jack instead gets sent to ‘dungeon timeout’ for bad behavior. That’s fine by him.
If anyoneâs crazy enough to not just survive, but win against The Tower, itâs Jack.
Book 2 - Frenemies:
Jack Atlas: twice as cocky, insufferable, and neck-deep in the Tower AKA the divine death trap. Stuck in a dungeon meticulously designed to ruin their lives in the most entertaining way possible, Jack and his best friend, Hannah, are outnumbered and outmatched by monsters with questionable ethics. Jack knows he should be fighting for his life, but whereâs the fun in that? Instead, heâs decided to charm the dungeonâs nastiest creatures, turning enemies into reluctant allies, and allies letâs just say things get complicated. A civil war is raging outside the dungeon, where things have gone from bad, to âthe worldâs literally on fireâ. On one side is his ex-mentor, Rodeo a guy who makes violating the Geneva Conventions look like a hobby. On the other, his âweâre totally over but letâs not rule out hate-flirtingâ ex, Sarah, whoâs leading the good guys with the moral superiority of a saint and the firepower of a dragon. Jackâs got a simple plan. Escape the dungeon, avoid getting eaten, or betrayed or both figure out whether Sarah wants to kill him or kiss him, and just maybe land a solid punch on Rodeoâs smug face. All before happy hour, because, priorities.
Book 3 - Bad Assassins:
Impossible? Don’t you mean: this should be fun? Jack Atlas barely survived the first floor, and now the Towerâs unceremoniously booted him to the second. Even with his mana on the fritz, heâs once again given a so-called impossible task by his benefactor: conquer Broken Moon City, and claim it as his own. The sprawling undead metropolis is where the Towerâs races collide in a blood-soaked melting pot, and no one person has ever managed to carve out their own throne. Fortunately, Jack has letâs say allies. Teaming up with a goblin who treats the rules of alchemy as something to be staunchly ignored, his best friend Hannah, and a handful of sketchy oddballs, the malfunctioning assassin sets out to either capture a city thatâs proven impossible to conquer, or burn the place to the groundâdoing his best to avoid turning everyone he meets into a lifelong enemy. No matter what happens, Jackâs gonna enjoy doing it.
