Cisco Packet Tracer is a user-friendly e-learning program that was created by Cisco, it will simulate network operation based on topology and configurations added by users, just like in reality. When you open the main window open the interface will contain several components. If you are not sure what a particular interface element does, hover your mouse over the desired element and read the tooltip in English.
The application has two workspaces (logical and physical) and two modes (real time and simulation). Once launched, you are in the logical workspace in real time. You can build your network and see how it works in real time in this configuration. You can switch to simulate mode to run controlled network scenarios. You can also switch to the Physical Workspace to organize the physical aspects (such as location) of your devices. Note that you are viewing the simulation while in the physical work area. You should return to the logical work area after you finish in the physical work area.
You can set your user profile for activity scoring and multi-user identification. From the menu bar, select Options> User Profile to open the User Profile dialog box. In the User Profile dialog box, you can enter your name, email address, and any additional information you can share about yourself.

Configuration Algorithms - Dialogue allows the user to create a configuration that is not available in iOS. It also allows you to tweak the algorithm parameters to make the visualization of some algorithms / protocols easier to view.
Maximum TCP Connections: If the number of SYN-RECEIVED connections exceeds this number, any new connections will be rejected.
Maximum open TCP sessions: If the number of connections exceeds this number, any new connections will be rejected.
Maximum TCP retransmission timeout in milliseconds. If the TCP connection does not receive an acknowledgment for the segment that it transmitted in this number, it will retransmit the segment.
Storm control switching multiplier: If the percentage of bandwidth in use multiplied by this number exceeds the configured threshold, the broadcast frame will be dropped.

Packet Tracer allows you to save the topology (PKT) as well as any custom icons and device backgrounds to which you have applied the logical workspace and physical workspace to a save file called PKZ. It can save any external files you add in a single save file, making it portable and compact from PC to PC.
